An au pair must be a national of the European Economic Area or from one of the following countries;

Andorra, Bosnia *, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Hungary, Lichtenstein, Macedonia *, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Slovakia *, Slovenia, Switzerland and Turkey *.

* Nationals of these countries must obtain a visa before travelling to the United Kingdom.
